Jackie Dehner is the founder of Narrative Healing Therapy and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa. Her work is rooted in narrative therapy, trauma-informed care, creativity, and the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives.
Jackie takes a collaborative and relational approach to therapy, creating space for clients to feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. She helps clients explore the stories that have shaped their identities, relationships, sexuality, grief, shame, and sense of self while moving toward healing with greater compassion and self-trust.
With more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Jackie has worked in private practice, schools, behavioral health hospitals, college campuses, and primary care settings. She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and has advanced training in EMDR, trauma-informed care, expressive arts, and creative writing.
At the heart of Jackie’s work is a deep commitment to story, community, and creating spaces where clients feel supported, connected, and empowered.
